The school was founded in 1946, it acquired its current name – Liepāja Elementary School No. 3 and its location in the building Lazaretes Street 8, in 1994.
Our MISSION is to provide each student with a competitive education using modern learning processes, developing high communication and behavioral culture.
The school is a minority school, where classes are currently held bilingually – in Latvian and Russian. This 2022/2023 school year, there are 372 different nationality students from 1st to 9th grade – Russians, Belarusians, Latvians, Ukrainians, Gypsies, etc.
The school is located in Karosta, a microdistrict of the city with a high degree of social risk. More than 10% of students receive inclusive education support measures for children with special needs and insufficient social skills.
The school’s PRIORITIES are the provision of INCLUSIVE education for every student according to his abilities and needs, and a gradual transition to the LEARNING process in LATVIAN.
At the same time, there is work going on with the talented students who have high learning achievements in mathematics and science subjects. The student council and the dance team are active. In cooperation with FK “Karosta”, football training takes place on the school’s sports field, the 3rd year of cooperation with the North Korean Embassy, students also learn taekwondo.
Since 2020, the director of the school is Galina Skorobogatova. At the moment, the school has 59 employees, 40 of them are teachers, some of them work part-time in the order of combining positions.
